Well our group of 6 have with heavy hearts returned home from Paradise. I now know why people return to Barbados yearly. What a wonderful country, what wonderful people.

We had a great trip, with a couple of bumps in the road but all in all wonderful.

Not great at trip reports, but I'll put together a little something in the next few days.

Thanks for all the wonderful information you guys provided to me. It was a great help!

We try to temper our sad feelings leaving BIM by planning our next trip back before we leave. This way we always have a visit to look forward to! We're still very sorry to leave but it does give us something positive to think about. :-)

Im already looking for possible places to rent for next year! The house we rented this time was beautiful and the pool was wonderful, but Id rather find a place closer to holetown if possible. so if anyone know where I might find a reasonably priced 3 bedroom, 3 bath by all means let me know. :)

I am pleased that you have had such a good time, Barbados is a wonderful place. We were there for four weeks and arrived back on 24th March, it was the best weather we have ever had just a pity that the Atlantic swells were so big.

Next time, If you have a group of you, try the Bush Bar near Brighton Beach. it was the best value, best food that I have had in a long time. The Dolphin (Dorado) was divine. It may be wise to call and say that you are coming.

We stayed in a beautiful home called Cane House. Its up near 6 Mens bay, up the hill from the Fishpot Restaurant. It was a fab house, exactly as promised it would be.
We had a car for the 2 weeks so the location was not a problem for us.

We ate at Braddies a couple of times, and at Mertons one evening.. Walked to Moontown a few mornings for supplies from the local grocery and had a beer on the deck with the locals. Very friendly and warm people.

Very much enjoyed our time there, and am looking at new locations to rent for next winter.. :)

We have spent a few 'happy' evenings at Braddies.....
There are some nice villas around the Mullins/Gibbes beach area.
If you are not bothered about being on the beach take a look at Sugar Hill and Royal Westmoreland, some lovely properties up there.
