I can clear up all the debate and chat about KBH....if it helps. BB did try and buy it for US $14 but I stopped him. The hotel had been sold to 3 English property developers all of whom live here. They were apparently going to build a boutique hotel on the site, but they didn't complete on the contract. They are being sued now. As a result of them not not buying the hotel, the land was put up for sale again and that is when BB tried to steal it at 14m. As I write, it is still for sale. By the way - the crooked Fletchers are dead ...I can assure you of that.

Hi Richy that is very interesting information re KBH, obviously you have inside information regarding the sale. I do hope if and when it is sold it is not turned into condos but renovated or rebuilt in a sympathetic manner.
Interesting about the Fletchers, the couple of times we met them they were very nice - it was the other guy that was shady (no offence to Shadow).

I am the other guy...but I am not shady...just had a lot of clearing up to do from the mess that Fletcher left behind. I would like to see the KBH site turned back into a hotel too only this time not the all inclusive thing...that isn't good for anyone here.

Glad to have you on the forum, richy, I am interested on your take on the groynes. Surely, you witnessed the impact on the beach in front of KBH - how and why did you let that happen?

The beach problem is part and parcel of the PSC development along with the culmination of all the other developments. It's not a case of allowing it to happen...it's what does happen if you over develop a coastline. As for the groynes...they are an attempt at recovering the beaches although the high water tide lines are moving inland all the time.

As for the sighting of the Fletchers (JTG) that is just pure nonsense...unless you know anyone that can dive 1.5 miles down. That is the problem with living in a rumour society.

I am in agreement with you and others in the area who point to the building of Port St. Charles as the starting point of the accelerated beach erosion in the area. However, within in the last three years since the groynes at what they are now calling St. Peter's Bay next door to your hotel - not just the beach but a large chunk of your property has already been washed away. Whoever buys your hotel is either going to have to build much closer to the road (with all the road noise and other concerns) or spend oodles of money trying to restore the beach. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the property is still on your hands - people just can't see how they can build there anymore and make money.

As for the Fletcher sightings, I have also heard people who I otherwise have no reason to doubt or question their sanity claim that they have seen them moving about quite openly on the island. What is a castle or an abandoned hotel without a real good ghost story :?:   Too bad the environmental destruction currently going on in the area cannot also be dismissed as fiction.

KRNX..You are right whoever buys it will have to spend a tidy sum on beach enhancement and unless they use the original footings TP will insist that any new build will have to be located well behind the 'new' high water tide mark.

As for the Fletcher's...I can assure you they are dead and gone....all planned in my view...they were just about to be exposed for the crooks that they were. Will all be in the best seller one day...but until then as and we live in a rumour society, we have to put up with the speculative nonsense....

For the record if the Fletchers were not dead, they would both would be serving the rest of their lives in HMP.

As you say, the real issues that are before us are more important...such as..How does BB get approval to build such a monster of a building?. Why did the 5/6 families sell their homes to him so he could move further South? He will not get KBH whilst I have a say.

Well said Richy My feelings re the monstrosity that is St Peter's bay "villas" Hah what crap---- they are condos or apartments to me -------------- are well known. Nothing that couldn't be put right with a well placed bomb. Do you really think that people will actually buy into this obscenity of a building? ( if it's ever finished )

How is the "progress" on the condos?..I still can't believe that my favourite place in the world has been defiled like this.

It's going to be a while before anyone can move into those condos but some blocks are looking more completed than others. I have not gone down there since coming back from Miami yet but here is a shot I took of the northernmost block about a month ago - two of the offending groynes are also in the photo:

   You guys are too much :!:  :!: It's probably just the camera angle - you know how that works.

Actually, as you probably know it is built on a former mangrove area which was known to have pockets of quicksand.
