Sapphire Beach

The multi-million dollar property known as Sapphire Beach Condominiums on the South Coast of Barbados is one step closer to completion.

Last week it was announced that construction on the property is still progressing well with the gym and sales office now complete and currently being snagged.

This was the word issued from Michelle Mackie of Terra Caribbean.

According to the update released on September 10 2009, Block A of the beachfront property has been completed and there are small crews working through the block perfecting the interiors.

Block B of the property is also now complete up to the snagging stage and the externals to the front of this block are currently underway with approximately 50% of the driveways complete. Block C is progressing well and overall approximately 80% complete.

The Westlink Tower is at the snagging stage while the Eastlink Tower is currently being painted and almost complete.

This continued development should come as welcomed news to government authorities as Prime Minister David Thompson explained to the local media recently his intention to meet with overseas investors in the near future about projects which have either stalled or slowed.

According to the update on Sapphire, there is a driveway to the front of the gym which is on hold at this time and will be completed pending feedback from the Barbados Water Authority.

It is explained in the update, “The landscaping surrounding the pools have commenced and the decoration for Pool A has started. While Pool B has been casted and the plastering will be complete by the end of this week.”

The eastern fire stairs are scheduled to be erected and completed by the end of next week.

At least all the banging won't keep waking me up on the beach, and if there is a restaurant and bar it may be ok for a lunchtime snack, although it will have to be good to keep me out of scotties, happy days and southern palms

Shady, it is a lovely peaceful bar on the beach, nothing spectacular but nice.
a few of the older locals use it & my friend Austin works there whom i have known since 1993 is a excellent barman.
the owner is called Tyrone who used to own McBrides. the bar by the way is nothing to do with Salt ash apts. completely
different owners.

Shady, do you know where it is ? - if not Billy Dove or myself can guide you to it no problem.
then you can check it out for yourself, which i think you will like it.
just our opinion of course.

Shady you are correct in it's locality, BD & myself would take great pleasure dragging you down there, shame you
only drink orange juice  as they have a good selection of beers, wines, rums & cocktails to wet your appetite.
