Yes, Viv, that's the general area, and there is/was a large group of children staying at KBV at the time. I had seen them on the street presumably going to Mullins Beach with their chaperons that very day.

Might sound a stupid question to you Frank but a few of us are wondering - are guns illegal in Bim ?

AFAIK, guns are legal in Barbados as long as you have the appropriate license.

In the UK guns are illegal, this means that decent law abiding people don't have guns.....unfortunately criminals are not decent law abiding people.....

I did not hear it this time, but two of my neighbors have reported to me today that there was more gunplay in Road View (around the abandoned Kings Beach Hotel/St. Peter's Bay area) in the wee hours of this morning. Word is that a jetski operator has been arrested and his craft (no pun intended) impounded.

Well, government is saying that we are doing just great in tourists arrivals too but they just fired the chairman of the tourist board this week. All I know is that this cannot continue to be ignored in the mainstream media and we still hope tourists will come. It is better in the long run that we expose and clean up this mess than hush it up and hope it goes away.

Frank I wholeheartedly agree, people will always have disagreements but when guns are involved there is always a chance of innocent persons being caught up.

:( Unfortunately very true - as seen currently in the UK where the 5 year old girl has been shot, also a man - they were intending to shoot other people who were in the shop at the time - so far presumed gang related

Also fairly recently in St Martin a young girl on a cruise ship tour was shot dead . she was caught in crossfire between gangs at a gang members funeral !
