Hi All,
sorry I've not been on here for a while, I have been reading but not posting!
The young lad I made the Barbados film for finally had a bone marrow transplant which, fingers crossed, seems to be OK up to now. He had it just before Easter and has to be in isolation for six weeks. I decided to postpone sending the copies of the DVD to the contributors (stars!) in Barbados until I knew something positive, as everything had gone downhill for him after Christmas. So, the DVD's will be winging their way to Barbados by the end of this week.
Also, my husband was taken ill again, coincidentally the day after I booked flights for Austria again, would you believe!
I got cheap ones from Birmingham this time so that he doesn't have a repeat of the drive to Stansted in January.
We're not going to the end of June so hopefully he will be sorted by then. It's definitely not a heart problem thank goodness, they're looking towards it being gastric. He's off into hospital next week for the day for tests so we'll hopefully know more then.
On a happier note, for a bit of light relief I took the dog to another show yesteday where he won two more rosettes! He was placed third and second in two groups, so the children in school will be thrilled. He made the school newsletter at Easter when he was announced as their mascot - so he's not doing too bad!
I would love to think that we will get back to Barbados but I'm not sure if the Husband will be up to the flight for a while, but I can always remember our wonderful time there and keep hoping!
Best wishes to all you lucky ones going this year.
