There will be a Super Full Moon Tonight when the moon will be closest to the earth for 18 years. I am hoping that it is a fine night, here in Barbados so that we get a good view of it. It will be interesting to see if the tides are higher/lower than usual.

My wife and I dined out last evening and on return to our home, the sky was cloudless and pristine, with a moon that was absolutely spectacular.

I even commented to her saying; "that moon, in that sky, in Barbados, would be one incredible site."

I too hope the skies are clear this evening in Barbados. I would love to be there! Be sure and take some great pics!

These tides seem to be somewhat high for 12:50pm at Mullins!

Wow the beach seems to be getting smaller and smaller at Mullins, hope it starts to come back soon and isn't a permanent thing!

It is not high tide until 15.44. The sea was very strange today; we did are usual swim down the beach today and it was a bit choppy, went for a walk and 20 minutes later swam back, it was hard going and much rougher. The beach is starting to go again by Glitter Bay and in front of Lone Star is a complete mess with rocks and debri exposed.

It is raining 'Cats and Dogs' and we can't see the sea. The wind is supposed to be coming from the E/ ESE but the rain is coming in from the West. My rain gauge tells me that we have had 6.9 cms in the past 1hr and 10 minutes and it is still going strong. I hope there are no flash floods.

It is nice and sunny here today in Eastern Ontario, if it was not for the cold wind from Ottawa it would be beautifull, not a cloud in the sky we should be able to touch the moon tonight if it gets as big as yiou say

Should be able to get a good picture of it later, right now I will keep the sun

the sun is hovering, I think it forgot to come out today and is remembering that it is the moon's important appearance!

The moon was at it's best and biggest when it first appeared low in the sky earlier on.
I did take some shots Jerry but they didn't come out well :(
Hope you get to see it well in Barbados Bertha.

It is not often you get a cold wind from Ottawa, usually it is hot air from the politicians.
