I just keep looking at this poor deserted forum and wondered why we've given up. I wonder what Winston Churchill would have said.

I know!

"We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

Obviously not applicable to my point, but does speak to the sprit of not giving up.

What a great person he was and a great war time PM.

You think he would have been part of Facebook or did he honor his anonymity too much?

Lastly; did he ever travel to Barbados?

I think he would have been more likely to tweet than facebook.

I do not know if he made the trip to Barbados, but I suspect as his home was the magnificent Blenheim Palace and he had spent at least part of his life fighting in the sand in the Sudan, his need for a fortnight's all inclusive on the beach may have been reduced!

Winston Churchill did indeed travel to Barbados and stayed at the Colony Club

I agree Erronary - Churchill would have loved Twitter and been a prolific (and entertaining) Tweeterer. There is a Winston Churchill account on Facebook. https://twitter.com/ChurchillUP I don't think he would have had much time for Facebook.

I'm guilty of being short of time and have been posting to our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/travelbb/
It is easier, I'm afraid.

Stay well my friends!

Hi Jerry, hope you and your family are keeping well, as Sue mentions ,it is a lot easier for posting on Facebook, although I do miss the banter we used to have most evenings on the chatbox.

Hi Steve, Sorry for the delay in responding. All is fine here and hope you and your family are doing fine.

Just finished installing a new puter and you are my very first email. Have you been to Bim recently. I've not been in sometime but hopefully will manage a trip early next year.

The last time I communicated with Sue W. she indicated that she and Jack may make it in early 2016.

Let's stay in touch!

Jerry

I promise Sue, I'll not say a word!

Mark it up to old age.
